Spend Your Date Night At The Shooting Range
It’s Friday night, which can only mean one thing.
It’s date night!
But you need to mix it up and find something a little more unique.
You and your boo-thing are tired of the whole dinner-and-a-movie thing.
I mean, how many lame chick flicks can Hollywood make? Am I right?
On this Friday night on the town, you’re looking for something with a little more oomph.
Something that will get the sweat flowing and the adrenaline pumping.
Something that will leave your head spinning. Something with a little more bang-bang.
Okay, now get your head out of the gutter.
We’re not talking about that. We’re talking about slinging some lead with your loved one at the Machine Gun Nest.
Spending your Frederick date night at the indoor shooting range can have many advantages, the biggest one being you and your main squeeze will have a great time and experience the rush of smacking targets with whatever type of gun fits your fancy, whether it be a pistol or a semi-automatic rifle.
After all, you know what they say: Couples that shoot together, stay together.
So without further ado, let’s check out what you can expect by spending your date night at The Machine Gun Nest, the best indoor shooting range in Frederick.
Well, well, well, what do you know?
We actually have a Friday night Date Night special just for lovers like you.
When you choose to spend a romantic and energetic Friday night at the Machine Gun Nest, you’ll get access to a few special treats.
Date Night lasts from 5 to 9 p.m. every Friday night, so get your butts in here and get to shooting.
When you bring a date with you to the indoor shooting range, you’ll receive:
His and Her lane time.
Pistol or semi-automatic rifle rental
A target to shoot
A marriage proposal* (Not actually included, but if your date brings you to the shooting range, you might as well).
Sound too good to be true? Well, it isn’t.
You and your partner will make magic on the range and have some awesome gun-related memories to last a lifetime.
What’s better than that?
Is it your first time at an indoor shooting range? No problem!
We’ll help point you and your sweet thing in the right direction so that you can start firing your gun in the right direction.
When you come to The Machine Gun Nest, you’ll need to make sure all of your firearms (if you bring your own) are cased, unloaded, and prepared to be inspected by The Machine Gun Nest staff.
Then you’ll fill out a waiver on our iPad and watch a safety briefing video. Remember, safety is the number one priority at The Machine Gun Nest.
Shooting is an incredibly enjoyable sport, and should also be an incredibly safe sport. Always follow our safety rules and be mindful of your surroundings at all times. If you’re following the correct protocols, there’s no reason why you won’t have an exciting, enjoyable, and overall safe experience here at the indoor shooting range.
Next, you’ll get setup with a staff member, who will assign you a specific his/her lane and get you equipped with any additional safety gear you may need (like eye and ear protection).
You must put on your eye protection and ear protection before entering the gun range.
Gun range safety officers will be available for you to pester with questions.
After you’ve done all this, it’s time to get to shooting. Have a competition with your date to see who has the better aim and accuracy. Loser buys the next round!
What To Bring
You always need to be prepared when you’re coming to the indoor shooting range.
As with any date night, you don’t want to end up needing something only to realize you don’t have it. That’s a sure-fire way to get sent home early before the fun even begins.
With that being said, here are some things to remember when you’re headed to the firing range:
A valid I.D.: You’ll need a photo identification to be able to participate in gun range activities, whether it be a driver’s license, passport, state I.D. or otherwise.
A gun: You are welcome to bring any of your own firearms that you own as well as your own ammunition. Our range can handle rounds up to .50 BMG. Of course, if you don’t have your own firearm, you’re always welcome to rent one of ours. But remember: You must be at least 18 years old to rent a semi-automatic rifle, and at least 21 years old to rent one of our pistols.
A target: Do you and your date have a specific target you want to break in? No problem. You’re allowed to bring your own to the indoor shooting range, as long as they can be hung up at eye level. We have extra clips, tape, staples, and cardboard if you need it.
A positive attitude: If you’re looking for a great time without the investment of buying your own gun, this is the place for you. The Machine Gun Nest’s Friday Date Night special is ideal for couples young and old looking for something unique and special. You and your significant other will have a blast slinging some lead at our indoor shooting range, as long as you both have a great attitude and a passion for fun! Still a little hesitant? Don’t be. Whether you’re a long-time gun user or looking to try it out for the first time, give us a chance and see why we’re aiming to change the perception of guns one experience at a time.
